Our Work

TREATS (Transparent Reporting for Essential oil and Aroma Therapeutic Studies) was developed in response to poor reporting found during a systematic review that found many gaps in evidence-based studies and numerous omissions in reporting. This led to the formation of the 11-member international task force called ARQAT (Aromatic Research Quality Appraisal Taskforce) in January 2021. The group called on experts from around the world to determine items to be included. This work represents the first stage of development.
